Supplier
We buy electricity from nearby generators and supply households under an electricity supply contract. Pyrpose Energy GmbH is the contracting party on both sides, for the generators as well as for the households.
Platform
The platform is built so energy suppliers, municipal utilities, grid operators and partners can offer local supply under their own name.
Community operator
We bring the generators and households of a neighbourhood together in an energy community. Every contract in this community is with Pyrpose Energy.

Why now
Prices for solar modules and battery storage have fallen sharply over the years. Generation happens in many small places instead of a few large ones, and a market designed around large power plants and a trading desk at the centre does not reflect that.
Our business rests on the supplier model: we buy the electricity from the local generators and deliver it to the households there. We build the infrastructure behind it ourselves, and we run it ourselves.
